FAVOURITES OF THE WEEK

The DSTONE CREW decided that every Friday, from now on, this post will be dedicated to our favourites of the week.
This week, we did not go for a particular kind of style.
After evaluating a bunch of different websites and online stores, we chose these seven items of clothing and accessories:

The yellow Jimmy Choo handbag remembers us the Oxford bags which are not super in fashion anymore but not completely out, which means you can wear it without being afraid to show it.
The Lulu Frost's necklace is our classy choice. Obviously, it isn't gold and diamonds but it can still sparkle your life a little (and those are Swarovsky crystals).
The Minusey pants and skirt plus the Zara shorts were chosen because they are different types of bottoms of what we are used to see. These pieces are not boring at all which makes your style much more funny.
The Minusey's t shirt besides being super cute, shows the truth. I believe it is better to walk around wearing a fake Chanel t shirt saying it is fake, then trying to deceive everyone else. If it is fake, it is fake; people just have to embrace it!
Last but not least, we chose the Stella McCartney's shirt because this type of shirts is super in vogue and almost everyone looks good in it.

HOPE YOU  HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!

ORIENTAL FLAVOURS

"WTF?" That was my first reaction when I looked at the Prada shoes for this season. "What the hell is going on?" I thought. "Fashion went nuts and so did Miuccia!"
I was far from knowing that those shoes were just a little part of
what was being created - THE ASIAN STYLE

Asia is growing. Everyone knows what Chop Soy or Sushi is but, damn, I never thought we would one day actually wear kimonos!

A month ago, I posted some pictures of the Asian street style and now I am posting some pictures of how to wear the Asian style.

The kimonos are just a different and modern way of wearing the traditional wrap dress that Diane Von Furstenber "tailors" so well.
Miuccuia did not present us a collection full of kimonos but the Asian spirit was all there.

Even Karl Lagerfeld presented a preview of Chanel cruise collection in Tokyo.

Fashion is now breathing the Asian air. But how long will it take?

BLACK & WHITE

Black & White is definitely the biggest trend of this Summer.
Even though we are used to bright colors, this Season, Cruella de Vil's favorite colors are the ones you can use and abuse.
A pair of black leather shorts and a nice cotton white tshirt is the best combo you can make to rock this trend.

Here is a picture of the Italian blogger, Chiara Ferragni from theblondesalad.com, wearing a pair of ZARA black leather shorts and a Ki6 Who are you? white tshirt.

Without more further ado, here are some runway pics that exemplify this trend perfectly:

SPRING SUMMER 2013 ACCESSORIES

We are sorry we haven't been posting anything but our studyings have been taking all of our time.
Now we are back on track with lots of fashion trends to share with you!

Today we're focusing on some of the accessories that stood out at the Spring Summer 2013 fashion shows.
All the pictures, as always, are from Style.com

Let's start by the yellow ones.
On the left side we have the FENDI's "Lego blocks" heels and on the right side we have the Louis Vuitton's handbag. As you can see, both accessories are inspired by geometrical patterns which is the main inspiration source of this year.

Miuccia and Karl also made themselves get noticed by presenting odd accessories for this Summer. Prada was really inspired by Asiatic motives and Chanel, as usually, presented something really classy but over the top as well.

Gucci's and Ralph Lauren's collections were also really good! Watching Gucci's fashion show was like watching an exhibition of Art. Their pieces of jewelry were flawless. Ralph Lauren also did an amazing job with this "cutout curlicue creation" as named in Marie Claire.

FW 13 - NEW YORK - CAROLINA HERERRA

As Carolina Herrera said, "this collection has great drama and emotion". Herrera is not know for following trends but for creating new realities.
According to Style.com, "the designer imagined a heroine of the 1940s: With her victory-roll coif and her wasp-waisted dresses and full skirts, she was a kind of vixenish moll."
Everything was super classy without anything of size mini. The colors were the traditional Fall colors: a lot of dark greens,  greys, browns, purple and a little of red and blue.

TOKYO STYLE

Style.com has this great thing of posting Street Style photos of the biggest fashion weeks out there.
I was checking the Tokyo fashion week street style and those guys are insane (in a good way). Japanese people have their own crazy style that actually works on them.
I have to confess that when I first look at this pictures I thought how tacky Japanese style is, but then I realized that this is their style and they have the guts to actually wear something so different. Even though I prefer to have this simple European style and I don't fall in love with what Japanese people wear, I do respect their sense of style (at least they have it!).

FW 13 - NEW YORK - CALVIN KLEIN COLLECTION

Calvin Klein Collection was all about: blue, black and white. Super simple! Super CK!
I would say that the CK's Spring Collection was about a romantic girl and this Fall that girl will be transformed into a powerful woman who wears leather and big belts, though still classy due to the A line skirts. The shoes looked like Cinderella's shoes - really classy, simple and different.

FW 13 - NEW YORK - ANNA SUI

We are already used to the Anna Sui's eccentricity.
This collection was all about color. Pinks, blues, reds, purples, greens, whites, oranges,...
Yup, pretty much all the pallet!
It was a really feminine show with lots of patterns and a little of fur.
I am not a huge fan of this brand but I admire Anna's capacity of thinking outside the box.
Also, the little dance at the begging of the show was super fun to watch. After all, it was a great show full of originality.

FW 13 - NEW YORK - ALEXANDER WANG

This season, Wang was looking at boxing, that explains the covered heads (5) and the
maxi gloves that opened the show.
As said in Style.com, "Wang was fixated on roundness and blurriness", the total opposite of last season.
Black (3, 6), grey (2, 4, 5), dark blue (1) and a little of brown were the main colors.
The foggy environment matched the outfits perfectly.
A lot of fur (4) and a lot of leather (6) are the materials that the Wang Girl is going to wear next Fall.

FALL 13 - NEW YORK - 3.1 PHILLIP LIM

Phillip Lim is my favourite American man born in Thailand whose parents are Chinese!
He has the ability of wow us season after season without being too flamboyant.
Lim's next Fall won't be that colorful... Pink and blue pop out in the middle of so much black. Light browns opened the show but greys, black and dark blues were the main colours.
Lim's inspiration was girlfriends of bikers.
We could see a lot of leather, patch-covered denim, moto jackets and vests.
All of these elements are highly related to bikers.
At the end, it was a great collection! Really New York, really casual chic!

All pictures from Style.com

1 - The round sunnies take us back to the 60s and look like a futuristic version of the John Lennon's round sunglasses. Even though, Lim's style is not hippie at all, these sunglasses gave a casual twist to the collection.
2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 10 - Some of the outfits
5, 11 - Patch-covered denim
6 - Details
9 - The makeup was really simple: strong lips and the rest really light

HAVE FUN!
